The Beatles Vs The Four Seasons (Rare 1964 US Mono 24-track Vee-Jay Records colour band label double vinyl LP set. Features the repack 'Introducing The Beatles' & 'The Golden Hits' of the Four Seasons album. Housed in a gatefold picture sleeve featuring pictures of the Beatles & Four Seasons with full track listings of all the songs, the back cover features a 'scorecard' to compare the albums. Unfortunately the sleeve has a split on the top & writing on the scoreboard on the back,the vinyl has some minor surface marks. Your chance to buy this rare item at an advantageous price. Court rulings during litigation with Capitol Records prohibited Vee-Jay from issuing material but didn't stop them from being able to repack an old material. Vee-Jay lost contract rights to the Four Seasons the same time as it did with the Beatles due to non-payment of royalties but retained all the rights to issue whatever they still had the masters of.

To make as much sales as possible but yet stay within legal limits, Vee-Jay issued this double record set which contained the previously released 'Introducing The Beatles' and 'The Golden Hits 'of the Four Seasons (VJLP 1065/VJSR 1065). The liner notes for the Beatles are identical to those on Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles. Anticipating bad sales Vee-Jay limited production to less than 20,000 copies.
