Tracklisting & More Information

The Thrillington album is a legendary side project of Paul McCartney, however what many people don't know is that the idea was dreamed of and even started many years prior to the 1977 release. The album was started before the Ram album hit the shops, but although finished the project was discarded with McCartney distracted by the legal battles surrounding The Beatles, only to be polished off in late '76.

What we are proud to offer here is a unique insight into how much work was involved in the marketing of the album and the lengths that were gone to in order to keep Paul McCartneys name out of the press and Percy Thrillingtons name in it!
This box contains documents of musical historical importance and is probably the only one in existance. The box measures 12" x 9" x 1". It is made from card with a black vinyl finish. On the lid of the box is a large white 'thought bubble' style sticker with the text proclaiming:

'But Darling Doesn't Everyone Know Percy Thrillington'

Inside is a plethora of goodies, all original and genuine, these are detailed below. This is a real one-of-kind item and once this one disappears into a collection it's likely to never be seen again - dare you risk missing out?!

CONTENTS

An original EMI ΒΌ" Reel To Reel tape which although unconfirmed is believed to contain a copy of the full album. This is an internal EMI Studio review tape only as this album wasn't issued in this format. There are no stickers or markings on the tape to confirm the contents and it may contain a mix that differs from the commercial release as the album was recorded years prior to it's 1977 release, circa 1973 in fact!

Also included with the tape is a in depth 12-page article which was discovered on the internet while researching the Thrillington project. The articale was written by Matt Hurwitz and provides a lot of background on the recording and marketing of album. Toward the end of the article it states :
'In all the days since it was recorded and the time of its release, Tony Clark had only 1/4" reel-to-reel tape he'd made of the album, one which he had made to check the mixes at home to assure himself that the excitement he felt in the studio had made it to the final tape' Could the tape included in this box be that tape?

Three 5" diameter shaped 'thought bubble' stickers each with different text. These read:

Had A Simply Super Weekend At Percy Thrillingtons
What Am I Going To Wear At Percy Thrillingtons Dinner Party
The After Dinner Conversation At Percy Thrillingtons Was Simply Riveting
