DOWNLINERS SECT The Country Sect (2002 Spanish limited edition 14-track LP pressed on Super Heavyweight 220gram VINYL; the bands' 2nd longplayer, originally released in June 1965, attracted immediate confusion & controversy, being comprised of a mixture of skiffle, rural hillbilly & country blues which flew in the face of the pop [soon to be rock] that was emerging. The band could realistically lay claim to have made the 1st country rock album, but in '65 no-one was listening!Includes 2 bonus tracks, picture sleeve plus printed inner with informative liners from Mike Stax)
