MIKE OLDFIELD/VARIOUS A Selection From Tubular Bells (Rare 1973 UK Island white label promotional only 10-track vinyl sampler LP featuring an excerpt from Oldfield's masterpiece. In 1973 Richard Branson struck a deal with Island Records to distribute his new Virgin label and this sampler features tracks from the first 3 albums issued on Virgin [Oldfield, Gong and Steve York] along with recordings by Uriah Heep and PFM. It is accompanied by an A4 Island Records press sheet and ishoused in a white card sleeve with printed red 'i' logo on the reverse and custom 'palm tree' sticker on the front)
