STAN TRACEY Under Milk Wood (1976 UK 8-track LP, the second version of the man's highly revered jazz suite inspired by the Dylan Thomas play, recorded in London at the Wigmore Hall on the 22nd May 1976, narrated by Donald Houston & backed by Art Themen [tenor sax], Dave Green [double bass] & Bryan Spring [drums]. Opens with the second take of Stan's beautifully conceived jazz ballad Starless & Bible Black, just as essential as the first. The front laminated picture sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Excellent with few signs of play TAA271)
