MODERN JAZZ QUARTET Fontessa (Original 1958 UK dark blue & silver 'deep groove' London label stereo issue of the 1956 7-track LP in the American Series, the quartet composed of John Lewis, Milt Jackson, Percy Heath & Connie Kay, engineeredby Rudy Van Gelder. Fontessa is a little suite inspired by the Renaissance Commedia Dell'arte and a fantastic album in the chamber jazz style, front laminated 'scalloped' flipback picture sleeve. The flimsy sleeve shows very little general shelfwear, although the bottom flipback has been repaired by clear tape. The vinyl is a very clean EX/EX+ A nice example of this early UK stereo LP!
