GEORDIE Autographed Promo Postcards + Ticket (Pair of rare black and white 4"x6" EMI promo cards, one of which is fully autographed by all four members and the other is signed by 3 members. Both have the signature of lead singer Brian Johnson. Also included is a ticket for the band's gig at Marcam Hall, Friday June 15th 1973 where the autographs were obtained. In 1972 Johnson formed the glam rock band Geordie and became their lead singer. However, after a few hit singles the band split up in 1978. Johnson reformed Geordie in 1980, just after a record deal had been signed. He was then asked to audition for AC/DC. A few days later he was told he would be replacing deceased Bon Scott as the lead vocalist of the band and the rest, Geordie included, is history....

The first 6"x4" promo card features a black and white picture of the band with the band name and EMI logo at the bottom along with each band member's name. The reverse of the card advertises the album 'Hope You Like It' and the single Can You Do It. The catalogue numbers and fan club address are also printed on the reverse. This card is signed by Vic Malcolm, Tom Hill and Brian Gibson in blue ink while Brian Johnson has signed in red ballpoint pen.

The second card has a different image on the front but is the same dimensions and design as the first in that is has the band logo and names of band members along the bottom. The second card is signed by Vic, Brian and Brian (no Tom) all in blue ballpoint pen.

Both cards have at some point obviously been stored in an album of some description as the are tape stains to the corners and some minor edge damage from where the tape was removed, however this does not affect the autographs.

The ticket measures 4" x 2" and is printed on grey card. It contains information on the venue, date, promotor and price (80p) with the band name in bold text in the centre.

A nice piece of Geordie/early AC/DC memorabilia!
