SHELLY MANNE & HIS MEN The Gambit - Volume 7 (1958 UK 7-track deep groove mono LP on the lime Contemporary label, also starring Stu Williamson on trumpet, Charlie Mariano on alto sax, pianist Russ Freeman & Monty Budwig on bass. Features all four parts of the chess-themed title track, meaning an "opening in which the first player voluntarily gives up a pawn, or a piece, or several successively, for an advantage in position", here applied to the Bop game! The flipback picture sleeve isfully laminated & in Excellent condition with the odd tiny chip in the laminate's bottom edge whilst the vinyl appears Near Mint with few signs of play LAC12241)
