JOHN COLTRANE My Favourite Things (1964 UK first issue 4-track stereo vinyl LP, originally recorded in 1960 alongside McCoy Tyner, Steve Davis, and Elvin Jones, and the first time Coltrane played soprano saxophone on record. The album opens with his legendary modal reworking in 6/4 time of the Rodgers-Hammerstein title track, bringing a hypnotic Indian 'raga' feel to jazz unlike anything before. The front laminated pinched spine picture sleeve shows minimal shelfwear & the vinyl remains near 'as new' with little sign of play. A spectacular copy of this legendary recording SAL5022)
