BENNY CARTER Jazz Giant (Deleted 1996 Japanese 20bit K2 'Super Coding' digitally remastered 7-track CD album, featuring Ben Webster, Frank Rosolino, Andre Previn, Jimmie Rowles, Barney Kessel, Leroy Vinnegar and Shelly Manne. All recordings made between 1956 and 1958 in Contemporary's studio in LA, California and produced by label boss Lester Koenig. The septet are on roaring form for a set of five standards and two Benny Carter originals. Issued as part of the'Best Value 1500' series with picture sleeve, obi-strip and fold-out info sheet replicating the English album notes in Japanese VICJ41284)
