BON JOVI Slippery When Wet World Tour 86-87 - Tour Pass Pack (Amazing set of 18 genuine unused and unissued satin Tour Passes and a special laminated pass, all manufactured by the U.S backstage company Otto and distributed during the 1986-87 World tour to promote the 'Slippery When Wet ' album. This set features a superb collection of passes each featuring a similiar design in different shapes and coloures. Backstage Passes are usually printed in small quantities on adhesive cloth with a removable paper backing, this set has the 'OTTO' logo and address clearly printed on the back. Otto were responsible for supplying the majority of passes throughout the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's)

As mentioned in the main description the satin passes in this collection are all from the same tour all featuring the same design, includes the 'Bon Jovi' text across the top along with the 'Slippery When Wet' text logo & 'World Tour 86-87' plus pass type text all printed in black, also has a blank space for a name/ID to be written. Thus set includes:

2 x 'VIP BACKSTAGE' Rectangular design in blue & pink coloures
3 x 'VENUE STAFF' Rectangular design in blue, green & red coloures
4 x 'WORKING PERSONNEL' Rectangular design in blue, light green, red & lilac coloures
3 x 'VIP GUEST' Triangular design in blue, green & yellow coloures
3 x 'VIP GUEST' Large Square design in blue, green & yellow coloures
1 x Philly 87 'WORKING PERSONNEL' Rectangular design in pink
1 x Cap Centre 87 'WORKING PERSONNEL' Rectangular design in yellow
1 x Alpine Valley 87 'Guest' Rectangular design in yellow

Each pass retains the original peelable backing with the manufacturer 'Otto' logo and address details on the back, confirming these to be genuine passes.

Also included is the special original Tour Laminate featuring a unique design, includes an image of a skeleton/skull wearing a black top hat, glasses and scarf and smoking a cigarette, with brown/gold 'Bon Jovi' text at the top and 'World Tour 87' black text at the bottom with a blue background and small white 'Otto' text in the bottom left corner, the back is also printed with the manufacturer 'Otto' logo and address details.

Information On Satin Passes
The passes would have been custom manufactured on adhesive backed rayon acetate satin cloth with a removable paper backing, the early versions simply had a plain backing but soon started to have the manufatures name/logo and sometimes the address printed.

Bands touring multiple cities and large venues had their passes printed on large sheets, with layouts featuring multiple designs including different colour combinations plus details for different tour staff and areas of access.

Only a few are then cut into the different shapes so that there is no waste. Usually at the end there some printing overruns, set-up sheets, color test prints, printer's proof sheets, and discarded misprints which are usaually destroyed but some do survive and are very rare and are highly collectable.
