NIGHTWISH Made In Hong Kong (And In Various Other Places) (2009 Japanese only promo sample issue of the limited edition 11-track digitally remastered SHM-CD [Super High Material CD - playable on all CD players], issued to radio stations and reviewers ahead of the actual release. This release consists of eight songs recorded live during their Dark Passion Play tour in 2008, two tracks previously released as b-sides, and a previously unreleased demo version of 'Cadence of Her Last Breath', along with a bonus All Region NTSC DVD which contains three music videos as well as a documentary featuring material from Israel to South America, directed by Ville Lipiäinen; each disc has a custom stamped inner rim, with a picture sleeve, lyrics and promo stickered SHM-CD obi-strip, remains factory sealed from new UICO-1164)

The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
