THE LIVING END White Noise (2009 UK 11-track CD album - After months of creative frustration guitarist/vocalist Chris Cheney walked into band practice one day in late-2007 and showcased a riff, a single seventies-inspired behemoth of a riff and The Living End's destiny was sealed. Mixed & mastered in a blistering 8 days by studio legend Brendan O'Brien [who at the time was also working on records by AC/DC and Pearl Jam], 'White Noise' displays a fusion of their love of the classic sounds of Zeppelin, Sabbath and of course AC/DC whilst injecting it with a fresh sense of eclectic adventure. The album kicks off with the engaging brilliance of 'How Do We Know' before the band light the fuse an explode with 'Raise The Alarm'. 'White Noise' and 'Hey, Hey, Disbeliever' sublimely showcase their new trademark sound, whilst 'Make The Call' and 'Loaded Gun' offer some no-nonsense straight up classic rock.)
