I Want To Break Free - THE Pink Top

QUEEN I Want To Break Free - THE Pink Top (Unique & iconic. This is a once in a life time opportunity to own the very same pink top that Freddie wore with short skirt when hoovering through the video of the song. Not much more to say about the piece other than that it's very nicely knitted. There's only one person in the world with this. Today it's us. Tomorrow, it could be you!)

Tracklisting & More Information

Queen were pioneers of the music video and produced some of the most memorable videos of all time. Their classic 1975 video for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was as much a talking point as the song itself. Never ones to shy away from controversy, in 1978 the band hired a bevy of female models to ride naked in their 'Bicycle Race' video. However, it was the extravagant and flamboyant videos made during the 1980's that ensured they were a constant presence on MTV, and music shows in general.

Videos for singles taken from 'The Works' album were very much 'over the top'; 'Radio Ga Ga', 'It's A Hard Life' and, in particular, 'I Want To Break Free', in which the band appeared dressed in drag, parodying the British TV soap Coronation Street. Who can ever forget Freddie, vacuum cleaner in hand, strutting across the screen dressed in a short skirt and pink top, complete with his trademark moustache?!

Here is your chance to own a unique iconic piece of Queen and indeed music video history - the actual baby pink sleeveless ribbed jumper worn by Freddie in that legendary 'I Want To Break Free' video!

This top was given away by Freddie as a gift many years ago and has been verified genuine by Jacky Smith of the Queen International Fan Club. Jacky has additionally provided a QIFC headed letter of provenance to accompany our own Certificate of Authenticity .
