WARDELL GRAY Memorial - Volume One (Rare 1957 UK 12-track mono LP on Esquire with flat edge & 'RVG' [Rudy Van Gelder] etched in the run-out, otherwise known as 'The Thin Man', featuring historic recordings that date from 1949 to 1953. Comes housed in a unique fully laminated flipback sleeve with superb artwork by Diz Disley. The delicate sleeve [VG] has survived the fifties & shows crease marks from ring wear but remains fully intact with no writing or tears. The heavyweight vinylis clean & in Excellent condition with just the occasional faint paper hairline scuff not affecting play. Deserving of any modern jazz collection)
