JIMMY BARNES The Rhythm And The Blues (2009 Australian exclusive dual-format set, comprised of 13-track vinyl LP plus bonus CD version - this new collection of songs is not strictly 'soul' but moreso a 50s and 60s rock, rhythm and blues blend. It's dedicated to the pioneers and forefathers of modern music, and crosses the gamut from rock to swing to soul, but all songs have that common rhythm and blues thread, including material by Big Joe Turner, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Bo Diddley and many more. The album has again been produced by Don Gehman in LA ['Soul Deep' and 'Soul Deeper'] and features some of the best and most qualified musicians and session singers going around!)
