DIAMOND HEAD The MCA Years (2009 UK 38-track digitally remastered 3-CD album set which collates the output of the NWOBHM pioneers during their years as major label recording artists. Their first album for MCA, 1982's 'Borrowed Time' set out tostrengthen their fast-rising status and as such, showcased much of what was finest about the band – past and present; including 'Am I Evil?', 'Lightning To The Nations', 'In The Heat Of The Night' and 'Don't You Ever Leave Me'. The follow-upalbum 'Canterbury' [1983] was a fine rocker in the mould of earlier Diamond Head material and spawned the single 'Makin' Music' & 'Out Of Phase'. Completing the set is a rare collection of the band's live work from the period recorded by the BBC and showcases classic performances from the 22nd Reading Rock Festival in '82 and tracks from the BBC In-Concert series from the same year. Complete with a 16-page picture booklet containing previously un-seen photographs with comprehensive story of the album sleeve notes, housed in a custom stickered clamshell box)
