Problems of all descriptions were having an adverse effect on the band's ability to function and finally Ozzy Osbourne could take no more and quit at the end of the 'Technical Ecstasy' World Tour. He was briefly replaced by ex-Savoy Brown vocalist Dave Walker, resulting in the first line-up change since the band began; Walker's tenure would however, be extremely short lived and Ozzy returned to resume lead vocal duty for recording sessions and the resultant 'Never Say Die!' album.
