CHARLES MINGUS Pithecanthropus Erectus (1971 Japanese stereo issue of the 1956 4-track LP, Mingus' first masterpiece, with the boundary-pushing title piece, 'Profile Of Jackie' and a wonderfully modern arrangement of Gershwin's 'A Foggy Day', including its Japanese/catalogue insert and 'Jazz Age' obi. The pasted picture sleeve has some minor signs of 'foxing' evident on the reverse but is otherwise immaculate along with the vinyl P-6005A)
