ELLA FITZGERALD & LOUIS ARMSTRONG Ella & Louis (Original 1956 UK first issue 11-track MONO vinyl LP released as part of the Verve series and proudly displays the gold & maroon 'Nipper' HMV label - Recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles on 16th August 1956, the album [the first of three recorded for Verve] finds the two Jazz greats accompanied by the Oscar Peterson Quartet and includes Can't We Be Friends, Isn't It A Lovely Day, Moonlight In Vermont and more, fullylaminated 'scalloped' flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve has just a little light wear, with a few chips in the spine & a tear [repaired] to the bottom flipback, with no seam splits. There is hardly any evidence of spindlewear to the red & gold label and the vinyl itself looks in remarkable 'barely played' condition for its almost SIXTY FIVE years. A beautiful copy of this jazz vocal classic! CLP1098)
