A band that had the ability to take funk rhythms, make them danceable yet also retain a high degree of musicianship. Their excellent debut album, 'Cardiac Arrest' [1977] was highlighted by four singles: 'Find My Way', 'Rigor Mortis', 'Post Mortem' & 'Funk Funk'. Their second studio, 'We All Know Who We Are', saw Cameo becoming increasingly successful, and spawned the singles 'It's Serious' & 'It's Over'. Cameo belong to the elite pioneers of the funk-dance movement, sprinkling their songs with visual charisma to more than hold their own in a world where outrage and excess were rampant!)
