Originally released in 1966, Unit Structures was Cecil's first album on Blue Note, bringing the cutting edge avant-garde to the label. This is an incredible septet outing alongside Eddie Gale Stevens Jr. [trumpet], Jimmy Lyons [alto sax], Ken Mcintyre [alto sax, oboe, bass clarinet], Andrew Cyrille [drums], Henry Grimes and Alan Silva alternating on bass.
