FRANZ SCHUBERT Symphony No. 7 (9) (1963 German Deutsche Grammophon tulip border label mono vinyl LP. Performed by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Karl Bohm. Composed when he was 29, Schubert himself never heard a performance of this symphony as he would die just two years later and the Symphony would not be performed for another ten years. It is now considered the essential composition of Schubert's repertoire and a century after it's conception, no lesser figure than Albert Einstein would comment on how 'modern' it sounds.
