HARD-ONS Eat Shit, Listen To Horrible Music (2010 Australian
exclusive Limited Edition 25-track vinyl LP - The story of this
magnificent vinyl LP can be traced back to 1982, when three puny
immigrant children from Punchbowl, Sydney Australia decided to
embark on a weird yet superb journey of punk, metal, pop and garage
shenanigans. Little did anyone know or believe that this troop of
naughty boys would grow into a reasonably influential and legendary
band in their own right. Armed to the teeth with humour, self-mockery,
irreverence, unique musical techniques, and [perhaps most
importantly] fantastically powerful yet tuneful ditties; the Hard-ons
started stock-piling an impressive array of demos, live recordings,
radio broadcasts on top of their usual officially released material.
Documenting their musical history became something of a passion for
the Hard-ons, and it is now magnificently paying off. For their 25th [!]
anniversary tour in Australia in 2009, the Hard-ons pressed 500 copies
on CD of 25 tracks - made up of demos, outtakes, radio broadcasts
and live recordings, spanning their entire career so far [their 7 year
hiatus in the 90's notwithstanding of course]. All never previously
available, all existing only in the archives of the members themselves.
Lo and behold, the dam has burst. Due to extremely strong demand,
Impedance Records are presenting the said album on glorious
VINYL. Contained within the grooves you will find action
aplenty. A truly unique and rare documentation of an important band,
it is limited to a run of 1000 only, with this album
numbered 27!. Melodic. Powerful. Explosive. Pretty funny.
Experience this warts-and-all recording for yourself! It's time to put it
on the turntable and blow the living daylights out of your speakers!)
