THAD JONES Mad Thad (Very rare 1958 UK 6-track mono LP in the collectable Nixa Jazz Today series, which finds Thad breaking free from the Count Basie band for a superb session of stylishly cool bop. Quincy Jones, Elvin Jones, Frank Foster, Doug Watkins and many more perform, housed in a unique picture sleeve variant to the US issue. The flipback sleeve is in excellent condition, despite some peeling to the laminate at the opening edge. The vinyl is a beautiful near mint NJL13)
