THE BEATLES Help! (1969 UK second press of the 1965 14-track mono LP on the yellow & black Parlophone label, with 'The Gramophone Co' but without 'Sold In The UK' label text, first press front laminated rounded ended flipback picture sleeve with small outline 'mono' on the front. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear & the vinyl too is in excellent condition PMC1255)

The labels are matt finish with Parlophone logo in bold yellow. The perimeter print has 'The Gramophone Co' text but without the 'Sold In The UK' text across the centre of the label & the 'KT' tax code prominent on side two.

The matrix numbers are XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2

The 1960s heavyweight vinyl has retained its bright shine as only well looked after vinyl can. There are no significant marks, scratches, scuffs or damage of any kind. It has been closely scrutinised under both artificial light and sunlight and is graded EX/EX-.

The Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve has the small outline mono logo on the front as only the first pressings did, making this an early transitional second press copy, and also has the rare 'Patents Pending' credit on the back bottom flipback.
The sleeve colours are rich, showing just a little light age yellowing. There are just a couple of light storage marks on the front but otherwise the rounded ended flipbacks are secure, the print still off-white on the reverse and the spine perfectly legible.
There is some age yellowing to the edges of the flipbacks & at the opening, but minimal scuffing.

The flipbacks are all undamaged, the spine print is immaculate.

The original black catalogue inner is included.

A spectacular copy that is a nice EX/EX- all round!
