VARIOUS Jazz, Swing & Boogie (A bit of an oddity, this one. To look at it, it looks like a 78, with small label & thick pressing, but is actually an eight track 33RPM 10" vinyl LP. The label is an original Varsity blue, so I would estimate the year to be between 1949 & 1952, but that is just a best guess based on the manufacturing style. The flipback picture sleeve gives absolutely no details about the artists featured, other than that they are 'Varsity Men Of Modern Music', so I can't even hazard a guess to who is providing the 'Jazz, Swing & Boogie' contained herein. I suspect Jack Teagarden &/or Sidney Bechet, but that also is a guess. An oddity from the earliest days of 33RPM discs in nice VG+/EX- condition for you to play or frame on your wall. Anybody who knows anything more about it, please let us know!)
