What we have here is a baseball cap style peaked hat that was given by Elton to Sylvia Griffin, a close friend of his then wife, Renate. This, however, is no ordinary 'Baseball Cap' in that it was specially made for Elton by Her Majesty's own Milliner, Herbert Johnson, of Burlington Street in London. Herbert Johnson are reknowned worldwide for the high quality of their millinery, supplying a variety of styles to both the personal customer & the military. The quality of this item is obvious by the first look. What will not, however, be obvious from the picture that you may be looking at, is that the front, bobble & peak are edged in REAL GOLD BRAID & you can feel the weight of it compared to a more modest cap. The cap is fully lined, with the prestigious Herbert Johnson branding inside. Being a top quality item like this from the Royal Milliner, the cap is made to measure & does not have any adjustment facilities, so if you're planning to wear this out, you'll need to have a head of similar size to that of Elton!
