THE BEATLES Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978 US picture disc issue of the classic 1967 13-track LP with the classic portrait image on one side & a close up of the drumskin on the other, which is different to the European issues. The curious thing about this copy is that there are only twelve tracks on it. Even though the songs are actually banded on this edition, somehow they managed to issue this copy by accident. Both sides of this extraordinary disc play side TWOof the album, so rather than mix up the pictures, which was fairly common, with this press they actually got the master stamper plates wrong! It is not known how many of these escaped the factory into the wild, but given that this was once sealed & still retains some of the opened custom stickered shrinkwrap, the final figure for just how few of these exist may never be known. We have certainly never seen one before and do not know if we will see one again SEAX-11840)
