WOODSTOCK Unused Three Day Ticket With Original Mailing Envelope (The Woodstock Music & Art Fair in August 1969 has long since gone down in history as probably the end of the 'Beautiful Scene', which was finally killed off by the events that occurred at the Altamont Festival just four months later. At the time, this event gave new hope to a cold war generation that has grown up in the shadow of the Korean & Vietnamese Wars & the Cuban missile crisis. Three days of peace, love & hope. Events at the festival have been documented at great length, the film & soundtrack have been released, so that part is well known. What is on offer here is an original three day ticket for the event, with the Saturday and Sunday portions still attached to the ticket stub. The Friday segment, being folded to fit the 4½" x 3 'Fillmore East' printed mailing envelope has detached from the whole, but this is still the complete package. All three ticket segments, complete with ticket stub & the Fillmore East ticket envelope that they were delivered in. A wonderful reminder of a time when the world really did seem to be changing for the better)
