HIGH TIDE Sea Shanties (Very rare 1969 first UK issue 6-track stereo vinyl LP on the blue & turquoise Liberty label, described as one of the first 'progressive metal' albums from the UK. What ever the case, this is dirty fuzzed-up, psychedelicrock of the highest order, & certainly one of the heaviest of the late sixties to come from these shores. Features Tony Hill [of The Misunderstood] on detuned fuzz duties, plus Simon House [later Hawkwind] on violin. The gatefold sleeve looks stunning, especially the full colour spread inside, with some discoluration showing to the mostly white cover, otherwise holds up superbly. The labels have only a couple of light spindle marks, whilst the vinyl is super clean leaving it Near Mint. Auction terms such as 'monster' & 'killer' were invented for records like this one!
