FREDDIE ROACH Brown Sugar (Scarce 1964 first US issue 6-track mono LP on Blue Note's 'New York USA' address label, with 'Van Gelder' stampers & 'ear' etchings in the run-outs, a scorching Hammond jazz-funk burner from Roach, dirty, funky & soulful & with a superb supporting cast of Joe Henderson on tenor sax, Eddie Wright guitar & Clarence Johnston drums, pasted picture sleeve with catalogue inner. The cover is strictly graded VG with a couple of small paper splits in the corners fromlight scuffing& just a small patch of faint foxing here or there. The vinyl grades VG+/EX- with a nice deep sheen & shows just some faint paper scuffs & very minor spindle wear to identify play. Very nice! BLP4168)
