PEE WEE RUSSELL & HENRY RED ALLEN The College Concert (1966 US promotional 6-track mono LP, with custom black on white labels, recorded for Impulse at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that year. Features the two veterans in a less familiar modern setting backed by a young rhythm-section of pianist Steve Kuhn, bassist Charlie Haden & drummer Marty Morell, the final recording for Allen & penultimate release by Russell. The front laminated gatefold sleeve is library stickered& shows just a little edge scuffing. The vinyl is clean & reveals minimal play A-9137)
