DON CHERRY Complete Communion (1966 first US issue 8-track mono LP, with 'New York USA' address label & 'Van Gelder' stamp in the run-outs. This was the first solo album Don Cherry recorded for Blue Note, following his departure from the Ornette Coleman Quartet. It was also one of the earliest showcases for the Argentinian tenor saxophonist Gato Barbieri, who goes by his full name, Leandro 'Gato' Barbieri. Henry Grimes (bass) & Edward Blackwell (drums) round off an impressive debut. The pasted sleeve, with catalogue inner, shows a little scuffing or light discolouring, with all text legible including along the spine.
