CLIFFORD BROWN & MAX ROACH At Basin Street (1956 UK original 7-track mono LP on an orange Emarcy label. This is an stone cold Hard Bop belter of a record, & the last one by the Brown-Roach Quintet [Clifford died in a car accident the year of release], in fact the only one to feature the great Sonny Rollins on Tenor. This marvellous group is completed by pianist Richie Powell & bassist George Morrow, fully laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve is outstanding with hardly anywear to show for its age. The heavyweight vinyl is clean & reveals just some spindle marks on the labels or minor wear to the grooves - sounds fantastic! EJL1253)
