SHENLEY DUFFUS I Know The Lord (Rare 1963 UK three-prong centre 7" single, on a red & white textured label with 'flaming sun' logo & Cambridge Road address. This is a tough slice of Gospel Ska recorded at Studio One by the much underrated Shenley, also known as Shenley Duffas, Chenley Duffus or Chandley Duffus. The real action, however, is on the b-side; check out the killer 'Ska-Ba' by Tommy McCook, historically the earliest labelling of the 'Ska' genre on a UK 45. The vinyl reveals just a few faint paper scuffs or minor hairlines & sounds loud & fierce, a VG/VG+ beauty, with no label writing or tears. Sharp! WI-115)
