Tracklisting & More Information

Background:

Andrew Loog Oldham had just started up the Immediate label but at the time was short of big name attractions. One thing that he did have access to was the Rolling Stones and their song catalogue. 'Ping' - One bright idea later & the Andrew Loog Oldham Orchestra was re-christened The Aranbee Pop Symphony Orchestra and given to the tender care of the abstemious Keith Richard for creating this LP.
Given that the Rolling Stones were also involved, jointly or severally, with the ALOO, this was not such a quantum leap as you might think.

The sleeve shows a wonderful set of caricatures of Keith, 'that other band' and Sonny & Cher, with a slightly distressed looking Beethoven & a rather over friendly not-quite-Mozart figure on the end.
It shows a few light scuffs & a little edge scuffing but still remains very presentable with bright colours & clearly readable spine.
The unlaminated back has yellowed with age and handling, but all text remains clear & legible.

The playing surface displays a few scuffs and surface hairlines but shows surprisingly little general play. This would still sit quite happily in the VG bracket, but being a quality mid sixties mono press it actually performs considerably better than that.

A very acceptable copy of this seldom seen album at an advantageous price.
