ANNE PHILLIPS Born To Be Blue (1958 US 12-track deep groove mono LP, on a black & white Roulette label with colour criss-cross bars. A prolific session vocalist for countless number of acts, Anne started her career with this stunning debut, which stands the test of time as one of the best, but still widely unknown, "one-off" female jazz vocal records, enrapturing anyone that heard it. The pasted sleeve shows just a small half inch split at the top opening, & otherwise remains a lovely VG+/EX- example with minimal discolouring, a gorgeous spine & all text legible. The vinyl is splendid & appears near 'as new' with no spindle marks whatsoever. Jazz vocal bliss R25090)
