SOLOMON Bliss: Piano Concerto / Liszt: Hungarian Fantasia (1970 UK Mono vinyl LP featuring the incredible performer who started as a child prodigy by playing his own arrangement of the 1812 Overture on the family piano at the age of seven in 1909, having had no formal lessons. His professional career started just three years later and was cruelly ended by a stroke that left him partially paralysed in 1956. This LP features a recording of the Arthur Bliss work made with The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 1943, conducted by Sir Adrian Boult & a recording of the Franz Liszt work made with The Philharmonia Orchestra in 1948, conducted by Walter Susskind. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear & the vinyl remains in excllent condition & shows little sign of play SH125)
