Condition :-

We have graded this copy 'G' but it is nicer than that. For a first pressing, these do not show up near mint these days. The sleeve has a matte finish & has obviously been much loved, with some scuffing along the spine & some lightly smoked & weathered corners. More or less as to be expected, but nothing much distracting. The text on the front & back panels is clearly legible & the classic Diogenic cover shot still looks fantastic. It's an eerie picture sleeve capturing Sandy Denny's parents, Neil & Edna, standing outside their family home in Wimbledon, South London; Sandy's omens are writ large here as her folks would sadly go on to outlive their daughter & even their son [drummer Martin Lamble also sits in front of Sandy in the picture, who sadly died within weeks of the photo being taken].

The vinyl has been professionally cleaned & play tested. Being a first press, the music shines through the light ambient surface noticeable inbetween tracks & during the quieter sections [even a mint copy would have some very faint surface noise initially]. The depth in sound with this original Island press is great & Sandy Denny's voice cuts through majestically. The vinyl grades Very Good with some faint spindle marks & light paper scuffs & a couple of raised scratches. Priced advantageously & a real treat.
