A Collection Of Beatles Oldies - One Box EMI

THE BEATLES A Collection Of Beatles Oldies (Early 1970s South African issue of the 1966 16-track stereo compilation vinyl LP on the black & silver one box EMI label design with a uniqie Parlophone logo featuring the pound sign over a gramophone, different to that used on the UK pressings, front laminated flipback picture sleeve with the Artone Press logo on the reverse, along with an EMI Brigadiers advertising inner. The sleeve has some wear with a couple of light creases with the back clean and with intact flipbacks. The labels have a few spindle marks and the vinyl has a few light noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Atlhough not mint this is still a very good example & collection filler copy PCSJ7016)

This curiosity has unique black & silver labels that are similar to the Black & Yellow UK varieties, but with a different Parlophone logo.
The sleeve also resembles the UK version but has a mid size 'STEREO' on the front and 'Record Pressed for or by a Registered User' and 'Artone' credit on the back.

Not mint, no, but a very acceptable copy of this extrememly rare first South African pressing at an advantageous price.
