BUDDY BOY HAWKINS Buddy Boy Hawkins & His Buddies 1927 - 1934 (1968 US 14-track compilation LP, pasted picture sleeve wth detailed liner notes on the reverse. Hard to find collection from one of the most distinctive (and little known) country-blues performers of the pre-war era, a gifted vocalist who preferred slow/dirge like songs with some incredibly intricate guitar work. The sleeve shows some wear, with some discolouration evident to the bottom corner but it remains fully intact, the vinyl displays some scuffs and visible hairlines and there is the occasional 'pop' during playback, however that just seems to make these early primitive blues recordings that little bit more authentic!
