THE TWO-TONE ALLSTARS Starvation (Autographed UK 1985 4 track vinyl 12" charity single, signed in biro & black marker pen on the front of the picture sleeve by Daniel 'Woody' Woodgate & Mark Bedford from Madness, Jerry Dammers & John Bradburyfrom The Specials, Dick Cuthell, who worked as an engineer on Bob Marley's Exodus & Claudia Fontaine, Jackie Robinson & Caron Wheeler (Soul 2 Soul) from Afrodiziak. This record, a cover of The Pioneers, was released on Madness' Zarjazz label as a reply to the accusation that there wasn't enough black singers in the Band Aid line up, & so features many African artists from French speaking countries on the B side (King Sunny Ade, Manu Dibango, Salif Keita etc). This is an historical item which uniquely captures a moment when black music was having a great influence on the UK music scene at the time JAZZ 3-12)
