THE WAY WE LIVE A Candle For Judith (Monster British Acid Folk Psych 1971 UK first press 8-track LP for John Peel's Dandelion label, recorded in two days in the summer of 1970 at Spot Sound, London (where Cream recorded Fresh Cream) with all instruments performed by Jim Milne & Steve Clayton, pre-Tractor. The duo combine heavy Proto-Metal rockers with blissed-out Fuzz Folk & British whimsy, layered with acoustic guitar & hand percussion. The album opens with "King Dick II", a greatlo-fi lesson in devilish psychedelics ("practice witchcraft with your friends"!), then plunges further into the underworld of deepest, darkest Rochdale, where the album was first conceived in a studio attic. The cover is superb, stored away from direct sunlight with just a little edge scuffing to the bottom edge, and if you wanted to be picky, a tiny corner bump too. The vinyl is near 'as new' with no marks, scuffs or even spindle wear - impossible to beat! Obtained from the private archives of a one-previous owner collection, this comes highly recommended DAN8004)
