MUDDY WATERS At Newport (1966 UK issue of the classic 1961 9-track mono LP, a breakthrough performance in the history of blues when a Jazz audience embraced & applauded this earthy Chicago sound to the fullest & for many in the crowd their first exposure to the music live. Muddy is backed by Otis Spann, James Cotton & guitarist Pat Hare, ripping through some incredible takes of I Got My Brand On You & Got My Mojo Working, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve is Excellent with some light shelf wear & a vintage record shop sticker on the back. The vinyl is clean & in Excellent condition with a few faint hairlines not affecting play MAL661)
