THE SMITHS Strangeways Here We Come (Very rare 1987 UK Rough Trade hand set preliminary artwork design concept for the promotional poster, presented on high quality line board with hand annotated tracing paper overlay and frontleaf,measuring 13" x 20", superb hand traced sketch of the iconic Richard Davalos 'cover star' image plus band logo and album title. Wonderful work in progress with original hand annotations detailing planned typeface, corrections and colour tone proposals. This item shows just some minor wear to the front leaf, although this is not excessive, and after thirty years in storage is just begging to be added to your Smiths collection)
