JOE HARRIOTT QUINTET Free Form (Legendary 1961 first US issue 8-track deep groove mono LP on the black & orange Jazzland label, recorded at Lansdowne Studios in London, England in 1960 with Shake Keane (trumpet), Pat Smythe (piano) Coleridge Goode (bass) & Phil Seamen (drums). This was music without set harmony or rhythm, going a step further than Ornette Coleman but without much commercial reward, it is now considered a landmark album. The pasted picture sleeve [VG] has just a little mild discolouring around the edges & a half inch split at the bottom opening, with all text clearly legible, it is fully textured with wonderful abstract artwork. The vinyl is clean & Excellent with just a few faint paper hairlines not affecting play JLP49)
