MAX ROACH We Insist! Max Roach's Freedom Now Suite (1960 US 5-track deep groove Stereo LP on the orange & yellow Candid label, an Avant-Garde Jazz epic relating to the Civil Rights Movement, also starring Abbey Lincoln, Walter Benton, ColemanHawkins, Julian Priester, Booker Little, James Schenck & an expanded percussion section including Babatunde Olatunji on conga. The pasted picture sleeve grades Good with some discolouring around the edges, old tape reinforcement along the spine, a small name penned to a back corner & a seam split to the bottom right edge. The vinyl fairs much better & is a clean EX/EX- with just a few faint paper hairline scuffs not affecting play CJS9002)
