ART BLAKEY & MAX ROACH Percussion Discussion (1984 UK 11-track double LP, which closely observes the art of the drummer in contemporary jazz, with a session from Blakey & the Jazz Messengers from spring, 1957 [Minneapolis] which includes Jackie McLean on alto, paired with a great recording of the Max Roach Quintet from January 4, 1958 [Chicago] with a star cast [Kenny Dorham, Hank Mobley, Ramsey Lewis & George Morrow]. The picture sleeve shows some light edge wear & the vinyl is near mint CXJD6703)
