BILLY FURY The Sound Of Fury (1962 UK second press 10-track 10" mono LP, housed in a front laminated picture sleeve with straight "non-scalloped" flipbacks. The sleeve is dated '10.62' on the back, lower right. The song credits list 'Wilbur Wilberforce' [Fury's pseudonym], which are not found on the first issue. Complete with the poly-lined die-cut inner, the labels are dark blue on silver & non deep grooved, with second variant 'DRL 4799-2A /DRL 4800-2A' stamped matrices. The sleeve holds up well, albeit with extensive peeling to the laminate, grading Good. As expected, there are some paper scuff marks & ring wear creasing, with no writing or seam splits. All print is legible & the flipbacks are secure. The vinyl grades Very Good with spindle marks & the occasional paper hairline not affecting play. A nice, but by no means mint, example of a piece of Rock 'N' Roll history! LF1329)
